Construction Notice

NOTICE

City OF FOX LAKE

Dear Community Stakeholder:

We wanted to inform the community of some updates on construction projects this summer.

The State DOT will be repaving Highway 33 from Randolph to Forest Street.  This will start approximately April 1 and will be completed by approximately June 30.  While there will be an official detour, the road will be open to local businesses and residents with flagging operations.

Starting from approximately July 6 through approximately September 30, Dodge County will be repaving Highway A from 151 to 68 in Fox Lake.

Both the State DOT and Dodge County have worked to coordinate these projects, so we don’t have two projects going on simultaneously.

The City of Fox Lake will be starting a Fox Lake Construction Task Force.  The Construction Task Force will promote Fox Lake this summer and provide updates to the community on the project.  The Mayor and Council are in the process of appropriating funding for this group.  Everyone, particularly local business owners are encouraged to participate in these meetings.  If you wish to be added to the email lists for construction related updates, please email the City Administrator at [email protected]

This updated schedule avoids three years of road construction in a row instead of having projects for the duration of the construction seasons in 2026, 2027 and 2028, and this completes two projects in  one construction season in 2026 while giving a reprieve before the 2028 project.  The 2028 project is the most significant project because it involves road reconstruction and utility projects in the downtown area of Fox Lake.

For more information, please contact the City Administrator at [email protected] or by phone at 920-928-6288.

The City of Fox Lake looks forward to working with the community on these needed projects.

Sincerely,

Kelly J. Crombie
